UGH! I dont want to badmouth your girls parent, or anyone else really, but damn people these days are putting garbage into their bodies.
Its sad when society is in such a rush these days they cant even take a few minutes to cook nutritous food.
Its not really that hard, and can be much less expensive than buying that other garbage.
Do people not see the damage they are doing to themselves and their kids by shoving this processed fat- filled sodium-loaded cardiac-deathwish into their pieholes?
I mean just look how many people have health issues and are majorly overweight today, its rediculous.
Sorry bro didnt mean to go off on the subject, but Im feeling giddy today, LOL!
Hope I didnt offend you, and good luck with the little guy's training I think you will be a major positive influence on him

I was kind of wondering this also squats and deads really need to be learned to avoid injury but if you are training him he will be fine. For a while you might want to give him an alternate WO he can do if you are not around.

Well i am not going to work out with him very often if at all. I was planning on showing him the basic compond lifts and going with for a week or two. After that i was going to leave it up to him, and check in when i can. Seeing he is in high school and me in college we lift at differet times. And im also trying to find a part time job so once that happens im booked... But i am going to be able to help a bunch.

If someone genuinely doesnt want to do something or listen to you... theres nothing you can do. Just worry about yourself, because in the end the only one thats going to change him is him. Hopefully he starts to see results and sees how potentially great this sport can be.
