Alright bro. Well the rest pause method is to use a weight that you can do 3 strict reps with and do as many reps as possible with it.... Set the weight down and take rest pause of 10 to 15 deep breaths. Pick the weight up and again do as many reps as possible. Keep this up until 10 reps total are completed. When you are able to do it in 3 sets, go up in weight next workout.

Question answered at all?

DC training is almost all rest-pause work.

For example:

Take a manegable which you can get any where of 10-15 reps out of. What is done is you rep the weight out each time in a slow and controlled form. I emphasize this because rest pause is used to stretch and contract the muscle as much as possible. So pretty much lets say you are bench pressing, you put w/e weight you can do for 3 rest pause sets to get reps between 10-15. Lets say you do 200lbs. This is done for the first set, slow and controlled for a count of 7 reps. Re-rack the weight. Now wait about 15-20 seconds (this is fast paced) and lift the weight back up and rep it as many times as you can, lets say 5. Now you re-rack the weight again, rest, then rep it for a final time. Let say you cant 3. This is then a total of 7+5+3 which totals 15. By the end of these sets your chest will be screaming and you will have done well.

That is only one way to rest pause train, I know everyone has their own take on it.

$.02,
TheWall

don't knock things before you try it. i have been training like this for the past month and a bit and i have already made some very good strength gains. see my log. i suggest you try it out PROPERLY, because even if you have done it before i am pretty much sure you didn't do it right and then come back and tell me you don't like it

as for this question, its a great way of training. what The Wall said was a great way of descriing it for you. but if you want a more detailed description of it search the dungeon there are a few very good threads containing everything you need to know about this style of training.

good luck

ive got a q?
do you have to change the weight between reps or can you stick it on your max weight from the beginning.
(the reason i ask is i workout at home and if i have to change the wieght it will take longer than 15 seconds.)

Keep the same weight. This is ment so that the next time you have to up the weight. If you get 15 reps with 200, go for as many reps with 210. If you get 12 with 210, the next time you workout try to get 14 reps with 210. Its a never ending process of beating your last best in either higher weight or more reps.

Keep the weight the same.
