i drink a gatorade in the morning upon wake-up. gatorade AM to replenish myself of lost nutrients, then 2 gallons of water throughout the day. just get a 36pk of 32oz jugs and that lasts me a month. then water is free and i use brita so i just fill up two gallon milk jugs and leave one in my car and one i carry throughout the day. the gatorade AM replenishes me and gets me onto a stepping stone (hydration wise) before i start my workout.

Water Water Water. I avoid sugary 'energy drinks' like the plague.

If you're looking to lose weight, I've read a study from the Md.com or what ever it is, that if you spit gatorade out after you swish it arround your mouth it has catabolic affects and causes you to sweat more, consequently losing a tad more weight that normal. I did this when I was training for wrestling and needed to come down a weight class. Just make sure you brush your teeth because the sugar will rot your mouth like a motherfucker.

read a few write ups regarding gatorade am, and from the sound of it...it doesnt have any more nutrients than traditional gatorade, its just a lighter flavor, so it doesnt sit in your stomach heavy like others may do. personally i used to, have, and always will drink gatorade doesn't matter what people say. simply because i like the taste and feeling. its not a stimulant per say, but i do feel more replenished having drank a gatorade, replenishing my electrolytes, and then moving onto another beverage. i dont overdo, i just consist one every morning and move on about my day.

Yeah, it is pretty interesting. Don't know how well it works on others, but it worked pretty decent on me. Lost 3 additional pounds I figured out after just from it.

I prefer water through the day and anything else I get from food sources. I drink constantly through the day, I keep a gallong of near frozen water with me all the time, even in school.

I tend to get thirsty during my workouts even when drinking alot of water and I drink through my workouts in between sets.

intrsting thread.
ill tellu wht happnd day b4 yesterday.
im a person who seats like a motherfucker so, i take sp care to keep myself hydrated while training.
dyab4 yestrday was the dreaded quad day.
so, i strted with leg extntions, moved on2 squats.
im losing water like crazy,as usual...so, i keep drinking some ..after my 3rd set of squats ..i strt feeling weak.so i sit down on the floor...i thk it was liek150 kg and i did around 10reps.
so, sitting onthe floor sweating.im thining abt the final set...thinking ill add 30kg to the bar.
i get up to wear the lifting belt...and it hits me like a fckng freight train.....im dehydrated and dizzy.
nxt thing i knw. im opening my eyes and thereare ppl sarroundiing me. some1s givingme a glass of dextrose..some1s calling the doctor...
later i was told i had passed out and was out cold for a complete 5 minutes. i learnd my lesson-NEVER LET URSELF DEHYDRATE URSELF WHILE TRAINING!!!!
alwez keep some glucose or smthng with u in the gym bag to avoid a situation like this.
not only did i hafta drive myself home.i now hafta wait a complete weak b4 i can train my quads again.so..be careful, everyone.
