ok so here i am again about to start another season of high school wrestling, i weight 155 lbs and i can either go 145 and be starving and dehydrated but if i overcome that i will win alot, 152 and be second on the team(junior varsity), or go 160 and be smaller than most of the guys who are at that weight..,,so..im getting in heavy cardio 5-6 days a week from practice and 2 hockey games a week, plus my 4 day split, i think it would be easy just to lose 10 lbs to get down to 145 with all my activities, what do you guys say?

I'm glad you're choosing to drop 10, NEVER SETTLE FOR SECOND BEST! It's seems like a lot for someone your age, don't burn yourself out before the season begins, maybe cut back on the cardio some. But good luck this season.

drop 10. if you are small and wrestle up and dont have the strength its going to be a tough year. not saying you can't do it, just trying to look for the path that would lead you to the most success

dropping 10 is ok ..plus you get the allowance later..145 is a tough weight class but I am sure you will knock them off one after the other to come out on "top"...lol go for it

Depends on your body fat but since I don't know that I think 145 is probably best. I am curious to know what your body fat is because most wrestlers in high school would dehydrate themselves but would still only be at like 7% they were never shown how to properly cut. You may be able to make the weight and still be healthy and ready to kick ass.

well..140 is 7% for me...so that means 145 is like 9%...but yeah i wrestled 145 last year but this year im alot more muscular and ill obviously be mroe cut up

Personally I wouldnt want to drop 10 I'd rather wrestle at my weight or higher which I weigh 180. But its not healthy to starve yourself and dehydrate yourself just to get to 145's.
