if you've increased that much, Id say your doing fine. I had the benefit of powerlifting through sports for 8 years of my life, so I was able to get used to sets of 1's,2's, 3's, etc. (in high school, we would do 3x3 one week, 3x5 the next, 5x5, then back downover the next two weeks on squat, clean, deadlift, and bench, 3 days a aweek, plus a few auxillary lifts) We would also max every 6-8 weeks. From 3-8 reps in a few months is damn fine. Ive taken almost a year off from the gym after finishing college ball,(to refresh my mind, body, heal up, etc and to refocus), and just started going back a few weeks ago. Looking forward to gaining back all i lost. |
