I really luv squats.
I always do them on leg/bicep day, but I came up with another strategy Im going to try.
Today was chest/tri day and I decided to start off with some squats after my warmup stretch.
I didnt do full blown squats, I only had 135 w/ the bar.
This is a fair weight for me nothing real heavy.
I did 2x10 with 30 sec between sets. It made my body really get motivated and I believe it gave my chest WO a boost.
I want to try this every WO and of course do the full squat routine on leg day.
Do you think this is a good idea? If it starts to F me up or something I will discontinue it, but for now I really want to give it a shot.

I dont like it, but if your legs are natrualy big and easy to build then just watch overtraining your legs and lower back.

If your like me and legs are your weak point then no. Hitting them hard and recovering is the only way to get them big. Again thats if your like me and they are stuborn

i definitely wouldn't do squats every day. it's really going to put a strain on your knees after a while...arthritis anyone?

Well I dont hit them everday. Just started doing them every WO warmup. 2 sets of medium weight.

I do a three day WO.

Chest/tri
off
back/shoulders
off
legs/bicep
off
off

I throw in abs here and there also when it feels right.

However, Im going to take the majority advice here and discontinue. I agree that it will probably get hard on the knees and probably on the ankle joints too.
Also after doing it a couple of WOs its just too much on the quads even though its only 2 sets of medium weight.
Ill just keep hitting em hard'n heavy on leg day.

Im going for pure bulk & strength right now. So I try and hit those squats as hard as my body can stand. Damn they feel good! I also like the deadlift quite a bit.

Thanks for all the good advice bros!

Keep jacking that weight up

Its medium wieght for a warm-up 2 sets...how can that be overtraining, everyone is different, your body will tell you if your overtraining...his isnt I presume.

Doesnt matter you walk on you legs all day long how are they going to get a good recovery Slamming the legs once a week and throwing 2 medium sets of squats every workout period. Does that really sound good to you?

Also no your body wont always tell you your overtraining. Everything can be fine and then you get slammed with a injury when its too lat. Trust me it happened to me.
