Right folks i'm cutting my workouts down to one day a week .Just now i go to the gym as a compliment to the other training i do (3 days of MMA, 1 day American Football). I'm going to be doing deadlifts/squats/bench press and was wondering what other exercises you think are vital?

OVERHEAD PRESS,PULLUPS,DIPS AND YOU ARE THERE..WOULD ADVISE YOU DO INCLINE BENCH INSTEAD OF FLAT
Your not going to get the mass you want with just working out one day a week man. You might as well try to use that day for explosive power oriented reps. Thats what would work best to compliment your football and mma.

Well you cant bodybuild one day a week but you can hit power lifts like you described that would support your other hobbies. You need to make change if bodybuilding is what you want to strive for and make the others secondary.
I speak form experience. from 2000 to 2002 I tried to jugle both MMA and Bodybuilding and Bodybuilding suffered horribly. I found a balance when I increased my focus on bodybuilding and used MMA as my form of cardio which worked out great because it was a different time in the day. Those were the good old days.
Sorry i think that's where i haven't been clear ,MMA and American Football are my main interests just now .
I thought that cutting out all my isolation work and having one session of compound lifts that works my whole body would compliment that well. However if anyone has any other suggestions ( i'm interested to hear more about the explosive/power orientated exercises ) i'd be more than happy to hear them. I'm trying to find a good balance just now so it's the perfect time to change things up !
