Calves are one of the most difficult muscles to properly train. They take abuse all day long so it is difficult to give them enough stimulus to grow in the gym. Personally I think that you need to mix it up often with calves. 8-10 rep ranges is good some of the time but I personally also like to hit them with very high reps like 25-100 reps. As far as excercises, hopefully your gym has a variety of different calf machines like seated calf, donkey calf, whatever, use them all if you want I dont think that there is a wrong choice here. If not do dumbell calf raises and do calf raises on the leg press machine, works just as well in my opinion. You from Naples? |
