Tibia Dorsi Calf Machine

Im not sure how many people have acess to that machine. It all depends what works best for you. The calfs are suited to to high endurance stuff from walking ETC. I like to use high weight with 8-10 reps like any other muscle really.

Calves are one of the most difficult muscles to properly train. They take abuse all day long so it is difficult to give them enough stimulus to grow in the gym. Personally I think that you need to mix it up often with calves. 8-10 rep ranges is good some of the time but I personally also like to hit them with very high reps like 25-100 reps. As far as excercises, hopefully your gym has a variety of different calf machines like seated calf, donkey calf, whatever, use them all if you want I dont think that there is a wrong choice here. If not do dumbell calf raises and do calf raises on the leg press machine, works just as well in my opinion. You from Naples?

lol calves.. who cares about that muscle girls never notice it (or care) and they always look small next to the quads and hams anyway so dont waste your time with calf routines

^^Cosign. You'll get big calfs just by walking on the balls of your feet. If you ABSOLUTLY MUST have calfs. Heavy weight for a lot of reps.

Hey hey hey, some guys aren't so lucky with calves at all. I've seen guys with the highest insert that i've ever thought possible.

Heavy weights are the way to go. On the calf raise machine I can load the stack with 400 and top load it to bring it over 600 and get controlled reps over 10. Adapative little muscles.

donkey calf raises and seated calf raises are what helped Arnold bring up his calves in the mid 70's....really brought up the overall physique. but cosign with beefcake and thomas....heavy. thats how you get anywhere. stack that iron and make the muscle scream for help.

If you have poor gastrocnemius muscles(calves) dont constantly train them day in day out to build them up as it might lead to cramp if it is stretched in quick succession. To answer your question you cant beat skipping and hopping on your toes. Make sure you work on your toes to activate your gastrocnemius and soleus! But unfortunately a lot needs to be done to see a great significant change.

i dont find seated calf raises do much more than give me a pump at the end of the workout...

Standing calf raises are the mass builder, and heavy leg press calf exercises. i find
