strait barbell curls.
also, anything can technically be a strength exersize if the weight is really really heavy (3 reps or less).

Try under arm chin ups because your lifting your own body weight. If you can do those easy try supersetting them with normal curls straight after.

You wont catch me doing a weight I can only do 3 reps with for Biceps....very easy to injure. I'll do 3 reppers and 1 reppers for bench but never for bicep. Least I do is 6 reps for bicep.

Good post. Chin-ups are great for building bicep strength and barbell curls are a nice second choice, probably the 2nd best for biceps.

the only bicep excercise i've done in the past month is preacher curls
~15 reps,
ive been getting much more cut, i added about 3/4 inch to my biceps and ive gotten ALOT stronger

preacher curls are definitely where its at for me

theres something i was doing before thats like zakman curls or something
one arm on the preacher curl, you go down slowly, with your palm facing the ground (light weight) and turn and curl it up

good luck

if strength is your main concern 4 -6 reps with long breaks 3 minutes will work wonders. check out max-ot training it's great for strength.

i agree with masko... you will injure yourself doing 3 reps or less for biceps training!

Again, do chins...
