You do counts of 10 seconds,, if you can hold the weight that long, then increase the weight and keep building up the seconds until you hit 10 seconds.. I did not read the link.
This is how I do it, I do Partials also,, say your benching 225 for 8 reps, hypathecially.. if you can great if you cant then lower the amount, its just and example..
Now say your doing 225 for 8 reps, ( dont ) now put 250 or even better 275 on the bar, ( have a spotter with you for gods sake) ,, break the bar from the bench and come down ( oh ) 5 inches, now start the move the weight up and down within a 3 inch area..
Your stimulating the muscle to push it up but only in a short range of motion.. your body is going nuts to stabilize the weight and move it up and control it coming down.
Now do 10 reps with that and your chest will be on fire, totally pumped with blood..
AKA Power Factor Training.. You need to build up to the weight,,, but you get the idea!!!
