Like the title suggests, what's the most impressive thing that you've physically witnessed in the gym? Something that made you just drop your jaw when you saw it happen.

For me I'd say it was seeing a guy curl a 45lb plate. That is, pinch gripping the plate from the top and curling it with a straight wrist, palm up. Try it with a 35 and you'll realize how difficult this is.

Curls or presses? Curls with that weight seems physically impossible.

Most impressive thing I have seen is 120lb presses by some kid who looked like he ran cross country.

Most impressive thing ive seen in the gym is someone actually squatting 3-4 plates. My gym has a few competitive bodybuilders, but i never seem to be there when they do leg workouts.

the most impressive thing ive seen at the gym is a guy benching 405pounds 8 times with no spot, then when he was doing 495 with a board he had a spot, this guy was a big guy, but he only works out his upper body so he looks bad cuz he has chiken legs

my old gym back in severna park, my homeland...two kids didnt get enough of each other, both big football players... one a linebacker from my high school, the other a tight end from our rival school, both got into a scrap on the field a couple days before...then they saw each other at the gym one day, and the tight end grabbed a broom and hit our linebacker over the head with it shattering it to pieces... the linebacker laughed and knocked the kid out cold with a right hook clean across his temple... linebacker got asked nicely to never come back to the gym again. he just smiled and said, "it was worth it".
