i have been using 5kg dumbbells and it seems pretty simple for me. i dun know what weight i should use. i am aiming for muscle growth, not much for strength. should i do 10kg? then how many reps i should do?

it depends how heavy 5kg and 10kg feels for you
if you can do 3-4 sets of dumbbell curls for 20 reps at 5 or 10kg, then its definatly too light and you would need to increase the weight to like 50kg or something
the idea is to only do 12 reps at most and you should struggle like a mother fucker to get the last rep no matter what you do

and could you be a little more detailed with your posts and replies, the more information we/i have the more we can help you

^^^50kg? you want him to go from 5kg to 50? if you are doing about 15 reps easy with the 5kg then you should definitly step it up. Heavy weight is what promotes muscle growth not light weight and too much reps
