Yes it is true. You don't have to move the weight super slow but if you are throwing the weights around you are using momentum to help.

But I think the main advantage is it reduces the chance of injury.

Weight training is all about form and this is the best way to do so, for me anyway

he is correct, but i think he needs to clarify some points. the rep speed in the video is pretty standard, what is basically is saying is do not throw the weight around in a stupid manner cuz you risk injury and it is not under control.

lol i kno about controlling the weight thats one of the first things a learned when i started lifting, but the video says that doing slower reps stimulates your muscle and then makes you stronger and run faster
