Just for a bit of conversation what's the hardest/best workout that everyone's ever done? Sure every workout is hard, but some are just killer and a few always stand out from the crowd.

I'll be surprised if there's a single post that isn't a leg, back or full-body workout.

legs, shoulder, and bi's day on the first day of the packet sent to me by the football head weights coach... back squat superset 5 times with clean squat press (which is a hang clean into a front squat finished up in a push press in a fluid movement) into upright rows superset with shrugs finished off by seated dumbell curls superset with reverse curls then calves and abs... the workout didn't last that long but damn it was intense with little rest

Our Tuesday morning lifting circuit for Crew. All super low weight and super high reps. I've never experienced something as horrible as that lift.

Ohh...I've had some doozys.
Umm, one I can think of was a back/arm/lat day.

1-2-3 Bicep Curls (that's where you go left, right, then both and at 50 reps, visa versa) For 100 reps with 45lbs.
that was a killer way to start.

then lever pulldowns:
20 reps w/ 250
15 w/ 350
10 w/ 400
5 w/ 475
1 w/ 505.

Then reverse bent-over rows:
5 reps w/ 315
3 w/ 405

Hammer Curls:
20 reps w/ 45lbs warmup
10 reps w/ 75
5 w/ 80
3 w/ 85
2 w/ 90

Then DC extreme stretching:
30 secs static pull-up (up)
25 secs static pull-up (down)

High Bicep pull 45 seconds

forearm finger roll
2x 35 seconds with 100lbs.

I've had a few doozies in my sessions but in the process of trying to shed some pounds for my wedding I went a little nuts with a back workout after I got off of a 12 hour shift where all I do is push and pull and lift as it is. Started out with reverse grip pull downs until I did the rack I would follow that with deads for 5 sets. Bent over barbell rows followed by T-bar rows. I would super set one arm DB rows with seated rows. Hyper extensions and good mornings to with a burnout set of straight arm lat pulldowns to finish. My wife had to take my shirt off for me

Some pretty cool workouts, keep the stories coming!

Spose I should add one of my own.

One of the few sessions that really stand out in my memory was a squat session a couple of years ago. Really simple workout that just kicked my ass, it was my first serious powerlifting session.

Squat: 135x10, 225x8, 315x6, 355x4, 375x2, 395x1, 405x1
Leg Press: 2x failure with 700 (somewhere in the teens)
crunch, side bend, lying leg raise - 3x10

By no means huge numbers, but the workout just stands out for some reason.

It was the first time training with a former IPF world champ (who squatted 300kgs @ ~83kgs that day), it was over 100^ outside, it was my first time training in a hardcore gym, it was the first time I ever squatted 4 plates and I blew a blood vessel in my nose doing so. I felt hardcore, but I got laughed at for bleeding with only 405 on the bar.

Other than the warmup, I couldn't have gotten a single rep more in any squat set. Still have no idea how I hit a PR after that amount of volume.
