Usually my arm workout consists of 4 or 5 exercises for bi's and tri's i try to super set them all. I will do one bi exercise and as soon as I finish a set i do a set of a tri exercise then take about a minute break. Does anyone see a problem in doing them like this. I also think that it hits the muscles a lot more in doing it this way

I always like to go one muscle group at a time, supersetting within a muscle group

Isn't it like, not good if you hit both bi's and tri's in the same workout or something?

Cuz our weightlifting teacher who has gone to many conferences was showing us examples of what not to do. And one of em was to go do curls, and then hit the bench. He said it's bad because then you won't be able to hit the bench as hard as you would if you didn't curl.

I didn't even think about that ^^^, I never do bi's and tri's on the same day... I usually do tri's with my chest and back and bi's with my legs and shoulders

i dont see how your coach could be right. your biceps have nothing to do with benching. The only thing he may mean is that your glycogen levels will be lower after a few sets of curls and not have enough energy for benching to full capacity as if your chest and tri's would be fresh

i was replying to bboy, but again, w.e muscle you work 1st, you will have more energy for it than the muscle you work after...so if your triceps are lagging i suggest you switch it and put them 1st, but if your biceps are lagging then keep it

there is nothing wrong with training tri's/bi's together one day. i train my bi's 2x a week, once with chest and the other with tri's. the arm day is great because you can focus just on them, especially if one part of them is lagging.

I do what Quinn does. I think what your coach was saying is in some way true. If i do anything before i do brench then i cant hit it as hard. I always do bench first in a workout with tris the same day because of this. When you do reg then you can do close grip bench and that will hit the tris and your there anyway its convenient and efficient.

I don't see how it could affect what you do. After all, there is a Pull/Push method of training, which is supposed to help, not hurt.
