I think I need a break from the gym, im just not as amped for my workouts right now, Ive been training for about 10 months straight, not missing a day of training(I had off days and what not, but never skipped the gym, If I knew I couldnt make it in for a day, I would do that bodypart in the morning or something , so i didnt miss it.)

So you think it would be good for me to take a week off??????? or should I take 2????????? or none????????????????

and If I do take some time off, I should still eat 6 times a day right?????????

thanks

If you really feel the need for time off...take it...
Could be your body talkin to ya...With the time you`ve put in already your body knows what it needs.
I`d suggest keepin the protein up,if it winds up alittle more than you need,it`s better than not enough.
The hard part is tellin yourself your not bein lazy..your given yourself a little extra recovery time...enjoy...when you get back to it ...it`s gonna feel great

Sounds like you need to scale things back for a bit. I dont reccomed time off all together, but use a reduced workload phase. Mujirka & Padilla (2003) state “The taper is a progressive nonlinear reduction of the training load during a variable period of time, in an attempt to reduce the physiological and psychological stress of daily training and optimize sports performance. The aim of the taper should be to minimize accumulated fatigue without compromising adaptations. This is best achieved by maintaining training intensity, reducing the training volume (up to 60-90%) and slightly reducing training frequency (no more than 20%).”

If you decide to take time off, all you will need is one training week. Keep your diet the same, plenty of rest and maybe even some cross training like a couple of bike rides or some laps in a pool. Another way to do it would be to back off and train upper body one day and lower a couple of days after, just do a couple of easy sets of light weight for each muscle group. This will allow you to recover and also, when your only using light weight you realise how much you enjoy the hardcore shit. Peace man.

If you are a bodybuilder i recommend time of... Deconditionating is good when only thinking about hypertrophy, if you are a powerlifter i would deload...

well I ended up on taking a week off, also thgis week I am eating whatever and whenever, i know its not the best for me, but its a nice needed break. Come tuesday, ill get back on my normal "bulking" diet, and start to lift again. See the way im in the gym, is if I dont go all out, I feel like I shouldnt be there.

Once again, im not saying you are wrong hdogg, becuz I know you know your shit really well.

I just needed a break.
