when do you perform this excersice, your elbows have to go close to your body??? or they have to point outside like facing the disc???

Your forearms should be perpindicular to the ground i.e vertical. Use a shoulder width grip. Some people have there hands together but this puts a lot of stress on the wrists.

you can do it with your hands together... but I've always been taught to find the center of the bar and do a thumbs length in either direction, takes so much stress off of the wrists

Keep your elbows tucked, close to your body. It's easier on your shoulders this way.

mabos got it right, i feel it to be more comfortable that way also. i can also extend my arms more to feel it more in my tri's.

/\/\/\ I kinda agree because you can go alot heavier on this exercise than any other tri exersize.
