hey everyone.Rightnow my body's coming along good im doing almost 20 reps with 10lbs dumbbells should i add more weight an does less reps if i want more definition? thanks

If you want more definition you need to diet. If you are doing reps of 20 thats a real waste. It's sad, it hurts me that you would do 20 reps for anything aside for a warmup.

well you didn't say what exercise but you should never do more than 15-20 reps for a warmup...after that you have to stick with heavy weights and 8-10 rep range...to answer your question: ADD WEIGHT NOT REPS

20 reps done in a rest pause style can be good for squats or leg press. By rest pause I mean you take a few breaths between reps.

For upper body work I would stick with 10 reps or less.

Also you asked about definition this comes from having low body fat and also genetics play a large part. But maintaining low bodyfat and adding muscle are difficult. Better to spend some time building the muscle by training heavy and eating lots.
