I have heard about HIIT in a couple different places and did some research. What would HIIT workout consist of? Of course running and other types of cardio but how fast, how long. Im 5'11" 185 lbs roughly. I can run, im in shape. If you can provide different options then please. None that are for the faint hearted either.

HIIT Training: A HIIT session involves a warmup period, several short, maximum-intensity efforts separated by moderate recovery intervals, and a cooldown period. The period of alternating effort and recovery intervals typically lasts a total of 15 minutes.

Personally, i will hop on the treadmill, walk for 1 minute (3mph) and then do the following
minute 2 - 5.5mph (jog)
minute 3 - 7.5mph (sprint)
minute 4 - 5.5mph (jog)
minute 5 - 7.5mph (sprint)
and so on for another 10-15 minutes.

Interval training on a stepper can really put your quads into the workout by leaning forward during the sprint interval. For example :

normal pace
run: lean forward and really push your quads to the floor as hard and as fast as you can for one minute
normal pace

I take a slightly different approach to HIIT training than Warzone. I do something like.

5 minute warmup at average pace
Short breather
45-50 seconds at an average pace
15-10 seconds sprinting
45-50 seconds at an average pace
15-10 seconds sprinting

And I keep that up for about 20-25 minutes. I've tried longer sprint intervals, but I can't get through it.
