why are calves on different day?

why do people train their calves on different days than their legs? and also wat are the major muscles in the leg? sorry for so many questions. thank you all!

Some people train calves on another day because after hitting quads so hard its difficult to give 100% on calves.

i am one of those people you speak about.
sure i dont need to work out my calves that much, but i do it none the less. i like my routine to have just two muscle groups being worked and i think it goes hand in hand pairing them with shoulders because that is also something people tend to neglect.

not to mention the probelsmmany people have training calves.

It's not 100% necessary to train calfs on a different day, but it's good for defining the muscle. If you want mass added, train calfs with legs at the very end. I say the end because they'll already be pre-exhausted from the squats, leg presses, hack squats, etc. And as we all know, calfs only grow with high reps and heavy weight. Having them already warmed up will aid in the muscle shock. Training them on a different day is good too because you can concentrate on them alone and not worry about the rest of the legs. It's really up to how you like to train them. To each his own I suppose.

Calfs are one of the fastest recovering muscles in your body....it is even ok to work your calfs everday such as I do.

I train calves with my legs and hit them hard regards of the quad workout.
