I was working out about a month ago and I didnt warm up. I jumped into the sets I normaly do with no problem at all. I was doing curls with about 115 to 120 when I was on my 12th rep I felt this extream pain in my back and shoulder. I had no problem at all curling it, but when I let the weight down it was so pain full I had to set it down. I am scared that it will never be the same. I was out of the gym for about 2 weeks with out any lifting at all. I still dont see how it was possible for me to rip a muscel when I have been lifting for years and not being able to go to the gym and be physical is killing me. I feel like I am losing everything I ever worked for. I am used to being strong and feeling good about my success in the gym. Now I cant do anything with out feeling pain! I guess my qeustion is- How long dose it normaly take to heal a damaged muscel? I am becoming very depressed about this and I feel my self getting soft already!!!!

it's your mind telling you this bro.
i'm out with a peck tear atm, but yet my best friends, who i see atleast once a week are still like you're getting bigger bro, but yet i havn't trained once in nearly a month, i've only been doing light WOs everyday & cardio 5 times a week in my home gym. i'm on a cut now yet i still hear from ppl fuck me i can't believe it, you're still getting bigger, you must be back on the gear...2 weeks is nothing bro, in this time you can lose some strength but hardly none if not ANY mass at all. keep your head up bro, take ZMA & glutamine to aid in quicker recovery. ALSO take BCAA to prevent muscle tissue breakdown. in the mean time see a sports therapist to see what they can do, as it can take a week, a month, or sometimes even longer depending on how big or bad it is. best thing is see a proffessional & check it out...

You went to the doctor and he told you it was a muscle tear? Just wondering how you knew for sure it was a muscle tear.

Thanks bro, At times I think that my mind dose make things a lot more wost then it has to be. I was just scared that this would fuck me for the rest of my life because I couldn't do anything with out being in pain.Your right I need to keep my head up and try doing something positve by doing some cardio or weights I can handle. Its been about a month now. I know I am losing streght, but its going to give the the drive to get even biger and stronger. As far as any supplements go I have not been taking anything not even protein shakes because I figured if I am not active I will become fat. I was suposed to hear from a trainer a while ago but the fucker never called me back and that pissed me off!
