I was wondering about muscle catabolism...

What i wanted to know was that after training, if say you DONT eat nearly enough protein, do the freshly 'damaged' fibres break down before the rest?

You need a good pwo intake with the first 30 minutes, simple carb's to spike your insulin level , rice cakes are great.

Well that depends on how much time your putting between your works on the same muscle group. You should have placed enough time between workouts to let the muscle's repair and then hit them again.

Can you put your routine in here for us to critique.

i wasnt really curious because i am having problems recovering, i was just curious abotu the effect, but this is my training schedule

i am 5'9, 90kg
chest: 112cm/44inch
arms: 37cm/14 1/2inch
legs: 66cm/26inch

Monday: Chest/tri's/cardio
Tuesday: Back/ Bis/cardio
Wednesday: rest/Cardio
Thursday: Legs/cardio
Friday: Shoulders/abs/cardio
sat and sun: rest/cardio

I am currently working on my diet, ive never put myself on a strict calorie based diet before, and i am aiming to cut. So i am aiming for a baseline diet of about 2400cal to begin with, and then modify it based on how i look, and bodyfat%

And as you said with the insulin, i was recommended to add a teaspoon of Dextrose to my pwo shake, or whatever i have pwo.

if you dont feed the beast after your workout than yes you should enter a catabolic state if your ecspecially if your diet is clean. How much to say need to prevent this I dont think anyone know. Just make sure you have some whey protein and carbs after your workout and you should have a meal 45-60 min PWO.
