bro just a do a search, there are numerous threads about the adv and disadv of both.

you should have a combination anyway.

I prefer dumbell bench press. I fell it more in my chest and also with dumbells you don't need a spotter.

Mix them up bro,, I switch them every couple of workouts, I need a spotter on dumbells to keep my stabilization in check and it's safer.

It is proven that dumbells will contract more muscle fibers (DB are not restricted by a bar, therefore there is more movement both below and above). However, like everyone else has said, too much of a good thing isnt good. So mix it up. At times Ive went DB for 3-4 weeks than BB for 2-3 weeks. Other times I would head into the gym and, for example, do BB incline than DB flat bench..and do this for 3-4 weeks.

you can go heavier with a barbell but can get more of a ROM with dumbells, so it is much more effective on your chest

You can go heavier with a barbell because you don't have to balance the weight as much as you do with dumbells. But this does not mean the muscles are being worked more with a barbell.
For me I will swap between flat db bench and flat hammer machine bench. I stick with one of them for a while and swap when I get bored with it which is normally after a month or two.

rotate but Iget great results with dumbell incline. Let me ask you this, what do you think. I mean how does your body react to using eather or?
