i dont belive in using a shirt but thats just me. Are you going to get into competing?

I hate it when people say it's not about the weight like there is some big science to it.

Bigger muscles are stronger muscles. It might vary between people but for the same person if they get bigger they will also get stronger.

I don't think of this as a BB site anyway but as a weightlifting site.

Yeah you should only really flat bench and have a spotter because the whole point of using a shirt is to go heavy. Now you have to work on your technique. Cant just put on a shirt and bench. You have to get used to benching with a shirt. Dont underestimate the shirt because you can get injured. I had a friend whos shirt ripped at the shoulder and he said it felt like some one jump kicked him. He was out of the gym for 30 days.

i still haven't used my shirt since i got it...all my lifts are raw. spend more time training raw, don't rely on shirted & geared lifts too much unless you wanna do powerlifting...you can possibly add 100lbs easily to your flat bench, but still, TAke it easy & work up to it...GEt a SPotter or 2 if you're planning on lifting heavy shirted
