Hey guys...
When you do skullcrushers... How far down do you let the weight before pressing back up? Is there any advantage/disadvantage to lowering the weight more behind the head?
Also, I have read of some guys doing this movement on an incline bench... Is this any better than lying flat? And what is the optimal set and rep range for size? I've read 5X12, 3X10...
And if I do tris and bis on the same day, I should do two/three other movements...right? What would you suggest I do in addition to skullcrushers to put on size?
How about:
Dips
Skullcrushers
pushdowns
kickbacks?

Thanks for your help!

skull crushers go to your forhead, french curls go to past that point to the top of your head.

Personally I prefer to do french curls on a decline bench and i kepp my arms angled slightly back that way all of the stress is on the tricep and not on the elbow.

IMO if your trying to put on mass I would do
dip (weighted if possible) 10x3
close grip bench 10x3
skulls or french's 10x3

then either rope press downs, or kickbacks.

do 1x10 then do 1 set to failure.

Ok, I keep seeing that people suggest close-grip bench...I guess I will have to give it a shot.
Should I go from skullcrusher straight into the close-grip...like a superset?
I started a new arm routine and added dips. I finished 5 sets of 12 fairly easily...us saying that I should add weight and do only 3 sets of 10...I will give that a shot, too.
When doing the rope or kickbacks, should I pick a weight that I can do 10 and then more than 10 to failure...or should I fail before 10 on the second set?

I have read both going to the forhead and behind were appropriate. Me personally I go behind. For me it targets a lot better but thats something you will have to try and see what works best.

The incline bench will just help you isolat the tricep a bit more. You will notice that you cant do half the weight vs the traditional way.

Try doing first Dips then Close bench and then skullcrushers... That's the way I do it, and I always feel that my arm is going to explode. Of course, keep everything in the rep range of 10 at least with a poundage you can barely handle. And try resting between sets less than 45 sec.

Also, with skullcrushers you can go past failure and continue the set with a close grip press... I read that from Yates.

I for one think kickbacks are great, for me they smack the long head more than anything else. I don't do them very often, but I feel they're a valuable exercise. Guess that makes me gay?

Better do a few more sets of narrow grip board presses, JM presses, pin presses, overhead lockouts and 2 arm dumbbell extensions to prove my manliness.

Thanks again guys!
So, if I do bi's on the same day...I should do:
Dips 3 sets of 10 reps
Close Grip 3 sets of 10 reps
Skullcrushers 3 sets of 10 reps
rope pressdown 1X10, 1Xfailure

One of my problems is...when I work arms or chest and I am having a great workout...I have a hard time stopping!! Anytime I go in and have one of those days working arms that I feel like my skin is gonna rip...I can't make myself stop. I will do 3 or 4 extra sets of pushdowns or DB presses or flyes or whatever thinking that more is better. I literally have to make myself put the weight down and walk away. I know in my head that it is stupid...and maybe that is why I am not growing like I feel I should be!
