ah okay so i've been bored with lifting lately so decided to change it up to like body stuff doing more pull ups, push ups, hand stand pushups all that stuff and its so nice to just do it at home not having to go anywhere to lift. I've been doing this for about 4-5 weeks now i've notice a crazy difference in pull ups and basically everything. Anyone else take time from lifting to do this? Now im wondering when i should go back to lifting weights. i just need to get motivated damnit!

This is lifting weights it's just that you are using your body as the weight. Try doing one leg squats and parallel bar dips as well.

throw in a few bicep curls. I know you don't wanna use weights but surely this can't hurt, it'l give a crazy pump which is what you want

yea body workouts are alot more based on actuall muscle and actual strength so the body doesnt get pumped as easy. and you usually do them more strict. weights make you push past your actuall power body sense. so you get the pump and more blood pushed in quicker. body weight you just get more tired and hard to push past a plateu.

Being a fat bastard, I've always hated bodyweight exercises. If I was better at them I'd probably do them more often, I think they're essential if you want all-round strength and athleticism.
