I recently read that you should only train one set out of each exercise to failure. I personally train to failure on every set. What about you guys? Anyone agree or disagree with what I read

Training to failure on everyset is bad in my opinion. How are you gonna go up in weight if your too tired on your other sets since you trained to failure in your early sets?

it's pointless...failure on the last set is good, but not every set...

I don't go up in weight during sets. I pick a weight that I can get around 12 reps on the first set, and on my last set I fail around 8. I have been getting consistent gains in strength every week doing this so it's been working for me. In any case, thanks for your responses I'm gonna adjust my training and see how much more of an improvement it makes.

I always go for 3 sets of 10..I always get 10 on the 1st and 2nd set..if I fail at 8-9 reps 3rd set I know I picked the right weight if not I know to go higher next time..:

I do my sets the same way KEN777 does. It seems to work pretty well. If you change the weights too much then you don't really have a good idea how well you're doing from one day to the next. Too many variables.

Any of you guys keep a log of your workouts? I just started doing it this workout cycle and it has already made a huge difference in my progress

I keep a log of both my nutrition and workouts so that if I start lagging on anything I can tweak as needed.

i keep a log here at the dungeon, in the training log section. I have only been using it for a few weeks but i have already seen some benefits. Firstly its great to keep track and see how you have progressed. Secondly, its hard remembering what weights you lift for certain exercises, so just before you hit the gym, take a quick look and you'll know what to do once you get to the gym
