Pull ups or high cable pull downs. I like to have my hands facing me with a should width grip. Just keep pushing either for more reps or use more weight.

to build mass you need a range of 8-10 reps...heavy...dont take this to teh limit and mess up your form..form is the most important thing..do it slow with negatives in each rep and flexing at the flexing point..do 3 sets of 8-10 reps for each exercise this is a crazy lat workout if done right

wide-grip chins
handle grip chins (hang a cable grip from the top)
wide grip pulldowns
narrow grip pulldowns

if done correctly like I said slow, controlled, flexing for 2 secs at flexing point with negatives ( control weight while stretching lats) you will be walking with bat wings on your back..after youve got the mass go for 15-20 reps with 30 sec rest..AND ALWAYS SWITCH UP THE WORKOUT

pullups or weight pullups give you serious mass on lats & seperation on the back as a whole

I use a lot of barbell rows, and deadlifts for back development... But, same as all above, pullups are very good for adding width to your lats.

you dont have big lats at 17..takes years of heavy back workouts, pullups, pulldowns, seated rows, bentover rows..Rome wasnt built in a day..takes about 5 yrs to build a good body and 10 -15 for a great body...

the most imprtant thing is to pump iron in perfect frorm so that you dont get hurt..a shoulder injury can blow you out of the water for years or a life time..when I see a skinny kid trying to flat bench 225 I realy do go over to him and say "wtf are you doi
