Hey guys, just wondering if you incorporate these into your workouts at all?

My and my girlfriend had a small debate the oter day, she does her sit ups/crunches in the middle of the floor with nothing holding her feet down wheras I do mine using somthing so I can't bring my feet up. She said that it defeats the object becaus eit makes it easier.

Is that right? I tried not using anything to hold my feet down and they just move up towards my head as I sit up.

Please tell me having somthing holding your feet down is ok!?

Many Thanks,

From Alex :)

If your feet are coming off the floor I think you are probably not doing them properly.

When you do crunches push your lower back into the ground the whole time you are performing the exercise.

I think if you try this you will feel it more in your abs.

The best crunch is done when your fully squeeze the abdominals out at each rep. i concentrate on exhaling most of all my air out on the concentric par of the crunch. Also make sure you are rolling your hips into your belly button. I feel it best when i do that, I don't about you, but it has done wonders for me. the day or 2 after my Leg/abs day The Pain in my abs are so excutiating.
