I was just wondering what time in the day would be best for training? I am currently waking up at 4am to train before work. Would it be better to train after work?

my thought is yes, after work on your way home or when you get home, depending on the time, in the morning you have reached your peak performance and after work youve been broken in a lil bit, i feel its alot more comfortable and i get a better pump around 3 or 5 rather then early in the morning which i used to do but realized it only burns fat more and a little bit of muscle as well. but if you're getting good results and a good pump my friend then keep doing it "if you like what you're getting, keep doing it"

You def need to get 1 meal in you before you train and wait an hour for it to digest before working out but just getting up and working out right away is bad imo.

Dude I know how you feel for 2 years I worked masonary construction were you have to form basements with 10 foot high metal lego's that weighed 100lbs each I had to carry those around all day really killed my gym gains b/c I burned calories like there was no tomorrow. Your in a situation were you could probly eat anything b/c of the work your in. I suggest 1.5 grams of protein per lb for you per day and dont be scared of carbs your def gonna need them.

When I was in the Navy I had to run up and down 7 flights of stairs all day and trained after work. I now train at 5 am due to my ne life scheduale and find that I am always a good 10% stonger in the evening. It has to be because you are fueling up all day eating every 3 hours that you have a lot more energy.

Most people get sick if they train in the morning. I train in the evening.

i believe that although it does feel harder to train in the morning, your testosterone levels are actually higher, so it is a better time to train. Just make sure you have had some kind of meal before.

My days off i train in the afternoon, when my daughter is 2 1/2 and takes her nap and my son 6 now is at the age where he is safe enough to be by himself with little supervision.

On the days I work, I train at night when i get home from work,, 45 minutes I go all out, if I had a bad day the weights are going to hear about it,, believe me.
