My back arches or bend when I do shoulder press. Is this good, and what can I do to prevent this

yes,it's good...dont prevent it...your back should be arched for most exercises..

yeah i did shoulders today and noticed that my back arches too lol, you cant really help it

Sure if you have to keep arching back farther and farther just to get the weight up lower the damn weight lol.

Yes your body will natrually move in the position best suited to completed the set. If your back is arching to much and it hurts than obviously the weight is to heavy. Best example is to watch powerlifters and the extra help it gives them.

If it bothers your back then just do them seated with a back support, you will also find that by doing this it takes away any help your legs and upper body might have been giving you to get the weight up.

and on the other hand if you do it standing up you get to use all of your balancing muscles....so you see it is 6 of one and a half dozen of the other..
