You may want to google carb cycling.

In general - split up daily food into 5 or more meals so that no one meal has too many calories.
Try to eat only low glycemic index carbs in meals that are not directly after a workout.
One hour of moderate aerobic cardio burns more fat than 1/2 hour of intenst cardio. Intense cardio depletes liver glycogen so some high glycemic carbs should follow.

im not quite a pro on this, but i can tell you how i do it (works fine, at with me it does)

i eat like 6/7 times a day, and just like GORT said dont eat to much carbs each meal.

The last meal(s) i try not to eat carbs at all, only protein (dont eat carbs just before you go to bed)

and my gym is like 7 kilometers or something away from my home, i go there by bike so... thats my cardio. it takes me like 25 minutes or something to get there so i'm not going so fast...

i also wait like half an hour or something after i get back from the gym with eating.

hope it helps.
(I should tell you im not bodybuilding, im more like: i like big muscles but i want to keep the looks athletic, like 100 meter sprinters or something; maby that makes a difference so...)

The easiest thing to do is have most of your food pre-cooked (chicken, brown rice, potato, whole wheat pasta) and then you can get a portion of each and then steam some broccoli or get your veg of choice.

As the day goes on...start to taper your intake of starchy carbs. You shouldn't eliminate carbs altogether. Instead have a fibrous carb with your protein. My last meal last night was chicken and steamed broccoli to which I added a little olive oil and a touch of salt and pepper. I also eat lots of celery late in the day...celery is easy if you clean it and cut it up and store it in tupperware.
