Are they suppose to hurt when you workout your quads? (leg curl) Or is it that I don't stretch good enough.

Cuz it feels like I'm getting a cramp, hurts like hell and I can hardly walk.. Lol.

well my man, it could be both. if you stretch long enough and thoroughly enough before and after a gym session, and your quads still hurt after leg exersizes then that means you worked out real hard.

if you dont stretch, then thats probably what the cause of pain is although it is not nearly enough to do anything even mildly serious to your quads.

tell me, what does your whole leg workout routine compose of? including calves, hamstrings and any glute work.

I'm confused. Are you saying your quads hurt when you're working hamstrings? Or your Hamstrings hurt when you're working quads?

If it's the latter - For compound movements, parts of the motion are dependant upon the hams & glutes, as well as the quads.

If it's the former - I would guess that your using the machine incorrectly or using too much weight. Most hamstring machines are pretty good at isolating the hams when used correctly.

Any prior injuries back there? And what kind of weight are we talking? I can do loads more weight with quads than hams (as I'm sure can everybody) maybe you're going too heavy on the hams & relaxing your form just to push the weight?

No injury... I think its normal.. I do 180 with quads and 105 with hamstrings.

When you finish working out your hams how do they feel?

Well, when I finish quads, my quads are trembling. When I finish hams, my hams are too, and they both seem 'tight' when they're done, but not too tight to stretch them, slowly, while breathing out.

I'm not sure about your weights, though. I do about 20% of the weight on a lying leg curl machine, as I can do on a leg press. I've had a tear back there, though, so that may account for the difference.
