which is more favoured for overall mass gain for your pecs, dumbells or a barbell. which do u use and how well does it work.

ive been using barbell and at the momment im kind of plateauing, do u think i should revert to dumbells for a couple of weeks to keep my body guessing or should i jus keep going hard wid the barbell.

barbell definately increases power and size, but mix those dumbbells in as well to really hit the pec. sometimes you use too much delts with flat bench barbell.

some people just respond better with dumbells after a while then it goes back to barbells. its all different

I find that mixing it up works for me. For example: I do chest on tues and saturday and on one day i'll do barbell incline first then dumbbell flat bench, and on the other day I'll switch it up and do barbell flat bench first then dumbbell incline bench..works for me..

yeah pretty much, barbell works for more power and mass, where dumbell works more of the muscle, because you have to balance 360 degrees. Also, dumbell works your outer chest too, so a mix is usually the best, for mass and width
