Why do they train the way they do?

For an example, look at colemans training vids.
He uses a lot of momentum when using the heavier weights.
"Cheating" may some ppl call it.

In another forum, they said it was because the hardcore bbs were more concerned about muscle development than their health.

I mean, in some exercises they don't do the full range of motion, movement track (I'm not american lol).
Is this better for muscular growth if it allows you to use a heavier weight?

And if that'd be the case. When can u start using a little momentum in your exercises?

I would not recommend it due to the risk of injury. You should lift the weights under control to lesson the force on your joints.

because they are lifting big fucking weights you cant exactly have a slow negative on a 800 pound dead lift..... the weight they are lifting are usually extremely heavy which make it very hard on tendents to be lifted slowly. as for the range of motion they are so big it is hard for them to have a full range of motion on some lifts.

This makes them forced to hump the bar in T-bar?
Or does he do it because it causes the muscles used to grow more?

Ye, maybe it's kind of hard to hold the negative in a 800lb deadlift, but the question still stands.
Does the exercise performance he uses in many back n' delt exercies(momentum which allows heavier weight, with a little shorter range of motion) give better muscle growth than performing exercises with a MUCH easier weight and FULL range of motion?

Or is the key to vary between different weights and ranges of motion?
