It's supposed to be tight. First rule of a benchshirt, do not share it with your freinds EVER. Have your friends put it on you, thats fine. Because the shirt is tight when you bench you get more support towards the bottom, so you can lift heavier weights. I'm not sure my explanation is the best, i'm sure its not.

I compete in powerlifting. YOur right. THe correct shirt combined with the correct techinque and the right tranining can add alot to your raw bench.

An HD is the most mild shirt you can buy and it is a closed back design. WHile what I am about to say is not the case with al shirts the one you have is designed to bench with the same form as you would with no shirt. I don't expect you'll get much out of it.25 pounds, maybe. It is suposed to be tight. A bench shirt isn't something you put on by yourself especially a closed back desisn.

Good question. I'd say it really doesn't matter. Maybe 100 pounds over bodyweight? That seems very resonable to me. THe only issue with getting in a bench shirt too early is your ligs and tendons take more strain in a shirt because of the added weight. Shirts were originally menant to protect you, now they have evolved into something that can be used to bench more.

I've gotten over 200 pounds out of a shirt. IT was an Inzer Rage X.

preference in shirts are the open back design. Inzer makes the best shirts hands down.

MOst poeple would say my guidline was a bit extreme. I believe you should be reasonably strong raw before using a shirt. OThers dissagree. Tel me you body weight and 1RM in pounds.

205 pound bodyweight and 265 pound bench. That's pretty close anyway. kg to pounds you multiply the kg by 2.2.
