You can go to college to and major in athletic training. The salary outlook is not so hot (around 40k). There is a fine line between doing what you love and paying the bills. PTs are not much better, to go 7 yrs of school and make 60k. The best organized route imo would be a rehabilitative nurse and take elective courses you are interested along the way. The main courses you will find interesting are human anatomy and physiology 1 and 2, nutrition, medical terminology, pharmacology. Then take elective courses in exercise physiology, sports nutrition, kinesiology, etc... Also if you go for nursing you will always be able to find a job, and get paid an above avg. salary. Since you are still in h.s. try to get some of these knocked out through a cc or university partnership with your school but take them seriously. If you can't focus properly with your other activities then wait because you don't want to F up your future. You can also pick up some slightly older edition of these books off ebay or half.com at a reasonable price and really cut your learning curve. I will send you a pm with reference materials. Hope this helps, if it doesn't, ask away.
