hi
im almost 17, 200 lbs, and 6'2"
i remember seeing (i think on bodybuilding.com) an article about doing cardio before breakfast. anyone know if this is a good idea or could it deteriorate your muscles?
upper abs are showing pretty well but the lower is still "chubby"
i know if i didn't mention it diet would be the first response. I eat relatively healthy; every morning i have oatmeal, then for lunch salad (healthiest stuff the school offers) and then for dinner a pretty good balance of meat/carbs/veggies.
i still need to get better toned though.
thanks

cardio before breakfast is not good for muscular mass gains

cardio b4 breakfast is great for getting leaner ull have less glycogen (stored carbs) in the blood so ull burn a higher % of bodyfat, i would definitely suggest u get some glutamine 5g and maybe 5-10g of whey soon as u wake up to minimise muscle lose.

People make a huge deal about muscle loss and yadayadayada. That crap is blown WAY out of proportion. My friend danny did 7 miles of running every single morning before eating and that guy kept not some, but ALL of his muscle. Not only that but he kept getting stronger. I also do my cardio before eating, and MY cardio is hour and half or longer bike rides. I mean balls to the wall bike riding. I haven't lost one iota of strength nor muscle. In fact i have to work very hard to keep my weight low, and that's while i'm dieting. Point is do your cardio in the morning before you eat anything. One; it's harder, the harder the better. Two, if you are so concerned about muscle loss then take some bcaa's and creatine before the cardio. Usually creatine suggestion servings are one serving in the morning and one before you workout. Rock out with you-know-what out. peace.

oh yeah, that creatine better not have any of that dextrose crap in it, or any sugar for that matter.
