i personally always viewed them as a movement that people with alot of muscle mass tend to do... what i mean by that is someone who has a fully developed back and chest and is looking for detail in the serratus...i have been questioning them myelf... anyone else?

pullovers are a great exercise..should be done with a db ..ur shoulder blades should be on a bench..perpendicular to the bench..you loking up at the ceiling..idealy ur workout partner or spotter or trainer or ur gf will put the db in your grip with your arms straight up..lower the db behind your head..do not hit yourself on the head!..lower it as far as you can as you stretch ur shoulders back..do 3x10..this should be done on back day tho most bbs dont know this and do it incorrectly with chest..use a heavy db and u will feel it all over...lol

no you cant do it with a barbell but some gyms have a pullover machine that you are sitting upright in when you do the exercise..start with a light db and work your weigh up..if the gym is crowded u may have to do this lying length wise on a flat bench so ppl dont trip over you..
