My rear delts, when I look from the side, are getting bigger, but from the front, there's no thinkness. I do rear-pec deck flyes and cable flyes. I usually don't use dumbells because I don't feel it in my rear delts.
...

I don't understand though, I think you should be seeing thickness from the front, if its the rear delts your talking about. You can see size for your rear delts if you look from the side or from the back. You can see the front and the middle side of the delts from the front. For your posterior delts you can use dumbells and perform Bent Over Dumbbell Rear Delt Raise.

Try looking from the back..duh...if pec dec and cables arnt working do dumbells..if you arnt doing overhead press try incorporating that into your workout..also try going heavier and doing less reps or more reps..

REar delts have always been a issue for me until just recently.

Three excersizes that will make your rear delt blow up. Deadlifts, bent over barbel rows and bent over reverse DB flys.

Notice there is no cable work or machine work included in that list?

If you can do 30 legit pulups start strapping some weight to your self to bring the reps down a bit.

i deadlift, i barbell row. for my BACK. i said i don't do dumbells because i can
t feel it in my shoulder, which i think would imply that i have used reverse flyes in the past, no?

What i'm really looking for is thickness, as opposed to just width (probably wrong word) in the rear delt specifically

If you want your delts to grow you need some heavy presses in your workout. Military & Arnold presses are great for that. You need to remember too that your rear delts supposed to be a lot bigger than your fronts. Your front delts should get enough of a workout during your chest workouts. So as long as you have a good routine then it's just a matter of patience.

Just because you don't feel doesn't mean it isn't necessarily working your rear delts.

There are plenty of effect exercises hitting your rear delts besides pec dec and cable work.

Have you attempted doing deads?bentover rows?close grip chins?bench press?military press?

It's much better focusing on multi joint movements to try fill everything in at first rather than focus on the details directly
