im wondering how many of you people would drink alchol twice a week? does it really slow down your bodybuilding gains?

moderation won't hurt/ getting a DWI is not a good thing/ so have a couple and enjoy life

Decreases testosterone (protein synthesis) and makes you dehydrated + decreases vitamin absorption. So no I do not drink.

I just figure, no one drink a week isn't gonna kill me but it won't do me any good either so I might as well avoid it all together like I do pop.

you will save a lot of money..good for you..I dont drink anymore..I learned the hard way..

THe effect it will have is going to be based on how much you consume and what you consome. A few drinks 2x perweek will probably not effect you. Less is better though. Also remember oral steroids are already streesing the liver so alcohol will add to this situation.

I'd have to disagree....In "The Comeback (Total Rebuild)," Arnold advocates the use of Jim Beam as a supplement.....just kidding....If you are training like a pro (gear, etc.), I'd say you'd be a fool if you drink alcohol. If you are training recreationally, I'd say go ahead, have a lite beer or two every now and then. Ultimately, alcohol will never help you in your goals but could always play a role in fucking them up....so always keep that in the back of your head when you go off for your weekly bender...At this point in life, I only have about an average of 1-2 beers every other week (which is down from my previous intake of 30-50 drinks/week). All good things must come to an end...
