if u want your chest to look big you have to focus more on incline angles bodybuilders focus more on incline than they do on flat. u also have 2 do flat

To work your chest to the fullest you need to work your chest in different directions. It helps to make your chest fill out more. There are three types you can do on a bench: Incline, flat and Decline. Try to incorporate one of each at least.

Stay away from Decline presses...in my opinion they are the biggest waste of time.

I haven't been in the gym for half a year nearly, I have to get back into the swing of training again. Try flat dumbbell benchpress, decline benchpress, incline flyes, I think cable crossovers are a good thing to throw in there too. Give yourself enough time to rest in between working sets. You can go further in the heavier sets.

I think how heavy you can go depends on how much you do before you try to go heavy and body type. I have friends that can do 80% of their one rep max 8 times in a row. I find it hard to get up to 5 sometimes.

i never do decline, seems like a lota pressure on the body. but that doest mean it might not work for you. I like Flat bench press, Flat DB's, Incline DB's, Incline Flys, Cable crosses

I think that the lower chest will catch up as time goes on and your chest develops. My goals right now are developing a strong, wider upper chest. Decline bench is okay, but I think the majority of mass you build for the chest comes from flat/incline bench press and dumbell presses.
