hi, my name is bill, i'm 20 years old, 190 lbs., 9-10% bodyfat, i've been training for about a year now, and i eat pretty healthy six times a day. I actually have two questions, the first one is about rep scheme and changing up workouts. i hear different things about changing rep scheme and changing workouts around, but how often and when do i do each of them? and i have a pretty big chest, but how do i get the side chest to pop out a little bit more, or how do i get a wider chest in general? thanks!

First, I moved your question out of that thread as it is an informative sticky and not meant for questions to be answered in it, anyway I digress. What rep schemes you perform depends totally on your goals as each rep scheme will focus on different fibres and in the case of lower rep ranges neurological adaptations to heavier weight to lift more. So, I ask rather ironically (this post was originally in a thread about providing info to get your questions answered properly) what are your goals?

my goal is to get a wider chest, to be able to see a side to my chest when doing a side chest post.

asthetic reasons, no doubt.
well the lower rep ranges are probably not the best way to go about it (1-7)
the higher rep ranges (20+) are mostly for local site endurance and thats probably not what your looking for either.
my advice is stick between the 8-15 rep range.
