About every two or three weeks I switch up my benchpress routine from a progressive slope to my maximum (255). I would do 10 reps at 100 pounds, take a break, then move on to 110 after and do that ten times, then continue with ten reps for each weight until I got to 140, then i would go back down to 100.

Is that over training?

Over training can not be determined by the w/o per se but by your ability to recover etc. Are you making consistent gains? If your moving backwards (getting weaker) then your probably over training, if you are continually moving forward (getting stronger, bigger) then you are obviously not over training.

Agreed with Basso. As long as you are making gains, you are probably not overtraining.

If your in the gym 4 hours your either a social butterfly or you dont know what your doing. IMO If you cant fatigue your body again something is wrong with the way your training.
