my routine at present is one i have always used since startin the gym i do
monday - chest - 4 exercises 13 sets
tuesday - back 4 exercises 16 sets
wednesday - rest
thursday - shoulders 4 exercises 16 sets - traps - 2 exercises 8 sets
friday - arms 24 sets, 12 each bi and tri
saturday - legs 4 exercises 16 sets
sunday - rest
i have been readin alot on these type of forums and quite alot of people are FOR training muscle groupls more frequently throughout the week, i was thinkin about doing the following routine,
monday - chest - 3 exercises 9 sets - back 3 exercises 9 sets
tuesday - shoulders 3 exercises 9 sets - legs 3 exercises 9 sets
wednesday - arms 24 sets - 12 each muscle
thursday - same as monday but train back first
friday - same as tuesday but train legs first
is this overtraining, ive been training for 3 years now im 17(18 in december) and im relatively strong for my size/age (5`11, 155lb)
bench 220lb 4 reps
squat 250lb 4 reps
t-bar 176lb 4 reps
shrug 264lb 6 reps |
