Yeah but isn't working each muscle group just once a week not enough???? It feels like an eternity befor I get to work my chest/tris by the following monday.

And as far as cardio goes, how do you all feel about empty stomach cardio first thing in the morning, since I"m trying to cut body fat????

Good split but I would reverse it

Back
Chest
off
Legs
Shoulders

For a couple reasons, first because Back and Legs are the largest muscle groups I like doing them after a day off when your CNS is fresh and you can work them harder. Second if your doing traps the day before legs, how in the hell do you put the bar on your traps for squats? Friggin hurts like hell. Third the last w/o in a cycle tends to be the most neglected, shoulders get worked a lot and can be afforded skips or skimps, legs can not be afforded a tired worn out workout, you need to be fresh and ready. Personnally all plans I make are centered around legs and back because these task your CNS more than any upper body group. jmho

in bodybuilding less is more.. once a week is more then enough for growth... i would not do chest/tris togather or back/bis becuse, the arms ends up being over trained from the chest and back movements...

I like doing them together because they are already pre exhausted and take a lot less to stimulate, however you could do a Chest/bi, Back/Tri split which I found worked quite well!

How about:

Back/Tris
Chest/Bis
Cardio
Shoulders/Traps
Cardio
Legs/Abs

And what about my cardio question. Do you guys like empty stomach early morning cardio.

I know a lot of people who do early morning empty stomach cardio, but whenever I tried, I almost passed out. I am hypoglycemic, so my blood sugar levels are quite low when I wake up. They get even lower with 45 minutes of cardio. I get really weak. But I suggest you try it out and see if it works for you. Usually people who are trying to diet and cut are the people who do cardio on empty. To me, it seems like it would throw you into a pretty bad catabolic state.

As for your split, I never like working one muscle after an off or cardio day and then doing the same the day after. I would switch the legs/abs day with the second cardio day. Just some thoughts.

Depends on your back day. I DL on back day so I have to keep them split. If you can do cardio in the AM go for it, I don't think it's ever been proven that empty stomach cardio really benefits that much, maybe somebody can prove me wrong. I can't do it though I've tried and I get much more from cardio with a small meal prior. Do it for a couple weeks and track your progress, if you can't live with it though find a time or state that will fit in your lifestyle so you'll stick to it. Consistency is the key!
