i am currently entering my senior year in hs and play football over the summer i have been doing more low reps high weight to get my strength up i was wondering if it would be wise to keep training like this during the season because i am really amazed at the strength gains and would like to keep it up but dont want to risk injury

I would still lift mainly to maintain during the season but would have more rest days because you will also need to recover from practices/games. You will also want to add more calories to your diet, at least 1000 more/day imo. Good luck.

I learned some of my best weightlifting from my HS football coaches (compound lifts, 5x5, etc.) That was many many moons ago!
Your coaches can be a very valuable asset.

It has been 10 years since I was in H.S., but we always continued with the low reps and heavy weight through out the season. I agree with Steamboat Bill, talk to your coaches to see what they think.
