I have an issue with my arm development. I have been able to get my arms up in size. My left arm is around 16" and my right arm measures roughly 3/8 less than that. I have been noticing that although the size has gotten there, and hopefully not plateaued, that the hardness isnt there. My biceps feel a bit mushy.


I changed my routine a bit to try to put an end to that. Previously I had been doing about 4 sets of 10-6 reps. Now I doing 10-4 reps. Should I be doing lower reps with even heavier weights?

My biceps exercises that I usually do are the bb curls, 1 arm and ez bar preacher curls, alt db curls and on occasion cable curls. I used to do regular db curls but got away from that.

My wife put her finger just inside my bicep and so I closed up my arm and flexed and asked her to pull her finger out. Her finger felt tight in there but she was able to pull it out. THAT SUCKS!!! a 118lb Filipina!!!

post ur arm routine, down to the last rep and how sore your arms are after each workout and for how long they remain sore

These are my last 3 arm workouts which would be the last 3 weeks. Starting with the oldest first

BB curls ( straight bar) warm up 21s
10 @ 86lbs 8x 96lbs 6 x 106lbs 5x106lbs last 2 sets not the best of
forms.
Skullcrusher 10 x 60lbs 10 x 70lbs 7 x 80lbs 6 x 90 lbs

1 arm preacher 10 x 30lbs 8 x 35lbs 6 x 40 lbs 6 x 40lbs
pushdowns 10 x 60lbs 8 x 70 lbs 8 x 80 lbs 6 x 80 lbs
Hammers 10 x 40 lbs 8 x 45 lbs 6 x 50 lbs 6 x 50 lbs


My triceps were sore because of the skullcrushers up to 90. My arms were also sore because I had gone up to 50lbs for hammers but I dont believe my biceps were real sore on this.

close grip bench 10, 8, 5, x 150, 160, 170lbs


BB preachers I did slow and I got a good pump out of it. My triceps were also sore from the CG bench and also the pushdowns.

My arms were pumped on this but they were not sore. I measured my biggest bicep after this it and it was near 16 1/2". Normally it sits at 16"

I have begun to incoporate more CG grip bench in my routine and more and more of the ez bar preacher curls.
