Recently I got Cardiac Arrhythmia and High Blood Pressure. My blood pressure is 170 (upper) and 100 (lower). Sometime my heart beat is very fast then stop then come to normal. I will have a detail diagnose in soon.

I'm not sure why I have these problems. I avoid all food which is high in fat content, I also avoid ice-cream, burger, snack....all kind of junk food. I'm 40 years old, my body fat is approx. 15% and I've been lift weight for 20 years. Anyway, I will know what problem I have next week. My questions are:

1) I never do cardio exercise, do you think if I add a 25 minutes cardio exercise in my workout routine, is it useful to improve my blood pressure level and Cardiac Arrhythmia ?

2) Is there any supplement in below will increase blood pressure? I take these supplement every day (Butr I take Sunday off):

Whey/ Egg protein powder x 20mg x 2 times
Creatine x 5mg mixed with juice
BCAA x 3 capsule before & after workout
Multi-vitamin x 1 tablet
Zinc (50mg) x 1 ~ 2 tablets
1000mg Time Release Vitamin C x 1 tablet
400 I.U. Vitamin E. x 1 ~ 2 capsule

I would avoid all salt, drink a ton of water and not do anything else until you see the DR.

170/110 is HORRIBLE. I am very suprised you are not in the hospital. I am not trying to scare you but trying to help you understand you are in a VERY serious condition. I definitely would NOT do cardio or ANYTHING physical until you speak with the Dr.

Best of luck and let us know what happens.

BTW if you are 40 why does your info say you are 29?

Those are most definitely alarming numbers. I would hold off on all strenuous activity until you speak with your physician.

I have a pretty high BP for my age but I still do cardio on a regular basis. Personally, if I do my cardio before I lift, I tend to be able to do more and to be more motivated. My only problem is being motivated enough to loose my fat.

Motivation isn't as much a factor as proper education on how to lose the fat. If you try to lose weight the wrong way then all the motivation in the world won't help.

Dude with that BP you are in line for a stroke. Even if you don't feel to bad get to your doc. I started taking Atacand for HBP and it has been great. This is one med that I don't mind taking. Ask your doc about it.

Please continue with your doctor follow-ups, but don't let what you have read here scare you too much.
A 170 systolic is NOT in stroke range. When you get past 200 you need to be concerned about strokes. Is 170 hypertensive? Yes. Should imminent stroke be a concern? NO. Also, your diastolic at 100 needs to come down.
There is nothing real alarming to me here. Pretty routine hypertension.
My best advice --> Please try to fix it first with diet and exercise (do some cardio man!). There are so many different HTN medications out there, and I have seen a lot of folks end up with all sorts of problems when they start trying out the HTN meds. Resort to medications only after a serious effort at doctor monitored exercise and diet changes have failed to lower your BP.
As for the heart arrythmia -- a simple and easy stress test on a treadmill will probably rule out any problems that may cause concern.
Good luck.
