Ummm K. Here's a wierd one for you guys. Has anyone heard of not being able to get sore. Max bench, working sets, it dosen't matter. All the way to failure. I can't get sore. It's been like this for as long as I can remember, and I have to wonder if this is effecting my growth.
Correct me if I am wrong, but it's lactic acid that makes you feel sore. So does a lack of that cause me not to get sore, and if so will that effeect my growing.

Just want to hear some thoughts on the matter. If you need more info let me know. And somewhere on here I have already posted my routine as well as my diet (been a while though)
BTW
5'11" 190lbs 10% bf bench 225 for 2 on last set (don't max much and haven't in almost 4 months)
Thanks

You're fine. Have you EVER been sore from working out? Like... when you first started?

You don't want to be constantly sore but if you're in the gym often enough and are not a constant personal goal type of person it's very possible.

I have never been sore. Even when I could only bench like 90lbs when I first started. I had nothing.

Maybe you guys who doesn't get sore should lower the weights and focus more on the mind and muscle connection --squeeze each rep properly, no bouncing. All the heavy weights in the world doesn't necessarily mean you're going to get sore. Quality over quantity.

and yet, ppl sometimes confuse the amount of weight lifted equals the ammount of stimulation the muscle/s shall receive.

I've read in various places that after you get sore once in an area, your muscle buffers it from getting sore for another 6 weeks or so. Yeah, sounds like BS to me. I can honestly I sore occasionally now. If I take 2-3 weeks off and then hit it hard again, I'm sore as hell. I typically get a little stiff and tight in the areas I workout now for a couple days, with some soreness occasionally.

Honestly, I think not getting sore EVER could be an issue but if you're consistently gaining mass and your lifts are going up, then what else can you do? If you're not gaining mass, eating like a pig, and going up in weight lifted, well then there's a problem.

I've never heard of that, I usually get sore or stiff all the time. When I stop getting sore is when my body starts getting too used to the program, and that's an indication that it's time to change program.
